You may call City Hall (712) 468-2411 at any time and leave a message. Your call will be returned by the next business day, barring any emergencies. The library phone is (712) 468-2311. If you have any questions about City Ordinances, please contact City Hall by phone or email your questions to [email protected].

If you have a Police matter and it is a non-emergency, please call the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office at (712) 297-7583. They will dispatch the Pomeroy Officer or a Deputy to assist you. If it is an emergency call 911. Our ambulance service comes from Rockwell City so expect approximately a 15-minute wait time. However, we have first responders who live in town, and they will arrive shortly after a 911 ambulance call.

The City Council meets on the second Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the library located in the downtown mall. The meeting is open to the public.  If you have any specific concerns that you would like to mention, there is time for public comment. Otherwise, please ask the City Clerk to have your name put on the agenda. Then you may talk about your concerns with the mayor and city council and decisions can be made.

If you have any questions about these or any other City Ordinances, please feel free to contact City Hall either by phone (712) 468-2411, or e-mail to:  [email protected]
