Pomeroy Public Library Mission Statement
Providing Opportunities for the Community to Explore, Learn, Create, and Grow
Pomeroy is proud to have a city library which was first organized in 1924 by the Pomeroy Community Club. The library has been in several different locations throughout the years. The Pomeroy Mini Mall became home to the library in January 1990. The library collection includes over 14,000 books, 10 computers, and 12 iPads. The library offers many services including Brainfuse (Homework Help/Job Search), Microsoft 365 (word processing, email, etc), Canva (online graphic design tool), scanning, copying and many other services for patrons. Library patrons living in Calhoun County can access Libby to download eBooks and audiobooks at no charge. Weekly programs in the library include Coffee Time for adults with Games & Movies and STEAM available for children. The library’s multipurpose room is available at no charge for card groups, meetings, and other community use.
Please visit our library website at https://www.pomeroy.lib.ia.us/ for more information on all we have to offer.
